Portfolio

Image
This is my final portfolio for FMX 210. The knowledge I gained in this course made it very easy to design this, it is interesting to me how similar all the Adobe software appears, despite it being so different.

Audio

Image
Creating the audio for my animation was a little difficult. I have never tried to create my own music before, and I felt very limited by the tools in Garageband. It was hard for me to time everything out perfectly and create the sounds I was hearing in my head. If I had knowledge of a more advanced audio software, I think this could have been much better. That being said, I am pleased with what I was able to create, I think the bizarre sounds and combinations fit very well with the abstract animation. While the timing is not quite perfect, there are some parts of the audio that seem to align with what is on screen (the flute loop with the rack focusing), which I found interesting.

Animation

For this animation, I used footage that I had shot a couple years ago around Tampa. It was for an experimental film I made that came out very well. I wanted to see what else I could have done to that film had I known about the tools I am learning now. So I recut the footage and created some mesmerizing animations to go along with the abstract footage. This was a lot of fun for me because my imagination was my only limit, which I like much better than tracing outlines of people or objects.

bw to color

Image
For this project, I turned a black and white picture of   myself into a color photo. I selected five differentpalettes from Adobe Color to use for this. I also decided to use a Wacom   Tablet for the first time with this project, which was very   helpful.

Somewhere

Image
For my Somewhere project, I decided I wanted to photoshop myself into a movie scene, and for some reason, the idea of giving food to Christian Bale in The Machinist was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Autoscopy

Image
For my autoscopy, I merged a picture of me with my dog. My dog has been a big part of my life, so I wanted to show that I am always thinking about her.

Punk poster

Image
For the punk poster assignment, I looked at punk posters from different bands. Below are some of the inspirations of my poster. I liked the vibrant colors and messy, grimy look to the images and poster as a whole. I also like the ransom-letter style fonts, and tried to use that in my own poster. I had a lot of fun with this assignment.
